I am another tale...

Man, what a weekend...Thank you to all of you who helped me celebrate my 28th birthday this year...and thank you also to those of you who contributed to me getting booted out of V20 because I was too inebriated!!! HA HA HA. Apparently, by about 1:30 or so, I was outside when security approached me and told the people around me I couldn't be in there anymore. Hey, I lasted til 1:30 this time though, I think that's a record for me. I remember most of the night, which is while I was pacing my drinks...water between cocktails and stuff. That only lasted until about 12 I think, then the drinks came in way too fast. I sat outside V20 for a long while before the alcohol all came out, and apparently I was being mean to you guys...so my apologies. I'm really greatful to those that drove us drunkards back home(I wasn't the only one who got messed up =p)You guys are real troopers for sticking w/ me to the bitter end though...one can only be so lucky to have friends like you :) And thanks to beeb for puttin up w/ my drunk arse all night long. The hangover wasn't that bad this year...maybe because I spent most of the wee hours throwing up my drunkeness...miraculously, I was able to play in my league game at 2PM...though we lost...which totally sucks. But yeah, here I am, livin to tell the tale only 2 days later :). I think I still have a headache though, and my back hurts from when I fell down in the club...

Broomball on Friday was also fun as always. The white team(my team) lost 8-6. It's a lot tougher only using one ball as opposed to two. And I have the bruises to prove it. After broomball, we went to Guppy House, a few miles away. The food was not all that great, except for the Brick Toast...that was gude.

Some random thoughts
Well, not so random, but random inasfar as this post is concerned...here goes:
-Dude...when someone can't hear you because their reception isn't good...it doesn't mean they need you to talk louder...krikey...
-I realized I don't like it when I say hello to someone and they don't say hi back. I think of them as rude. I shouldn't think like that, you never know what they're thinking. There's some people at work that NEVER say hi to me though...and I used to get all mad about it. But hey, they might not be that social or they just don't like saying hello to people they don't really know. After all, we're not supposed to talk to strangers, right? But yeah, if they don't wanna say hi, then oh well...live and let live.

I am a new schedule...

A very heartfelt thanks to all of you who wished me a happy birthday yesterday. It really did mean a lot and I feel so very blessed to have such wonderful friends and family. I used to be really blah about my birthday in years past. I'm not really sure exactly why it was... Maybe I felt like I hadn't accomplished as much as I wanted to at certain junctions in my life, or that I was simply older. But I realize that it gives me yet another year to celebrate because of the things that I have in my life...namely, all those that I love and care about. It gives me a chance to talk to people that I haven't talked to in a long while, even if the conversation is short, it's still good to hear from old friends. Yeah, it's a little sad that the conversations don't come more often, but everyone's doing their own thing nowadays, everyone's busy, and you try to do the best with the time you have. So again, a big huge thank you for all being a part of my life.

Last night I had dinner w/ beeb, the fam, and jovan. It was a nice little dinner, PF Changs...I love that place. Some double pan fried noodles, chicken lettuce wraps, sea bass, mmmm, so much more. Beeb gave me this dope-ass digital photoframe thing where you can load slideshows into it and just watch them on the frame...I'm still deciding on the best place to put it so other people can see it...hmmm. From the fam and cic's folks, I got a Timex GPS watch! I was just talking about it too! Soooooo awesome. But even if I didn't get any of those things, I really would have had just as awesome a birthday as I did yesterday. I am truly so thankful for all I have...

I am another day older...

I totally didn't get up early enough to start my new time today, which was 8AM. I got in a little earlier than my old usual time of 9AM so I'll just start tomorrow...

Here's a good article about Kobe's 81, last night. That's right, EIGHTY-ONE POINTS!!! I couldn't believe it when I was watching it. And Chris, that lucky bastard, got to witness history...live! What a punk, he he he. But yeah man, if you weren't watching last night, you missed out. And of course, as the article says, people will always find a way to criticize Kobe becuase they will always just hate him(For example, TJ Simmers...I hate that guy) and he can do no right in their eyes, so it's just a shame that they can't congratulate someone for an achievement such as that. But hey, if you can only find criticisms for the 2nd highest individual scoring achievement in NBA history(as Jevon says, recorded history), then I think you can hardly call yourself a fan of the sport...

'Twas a good weekend. We didn't get to go to SD and we didn't do our long run, but it was still productive. Cicely and I watched the ENTIRE first season of Lost. That's right 24 episodes. I'm soooo glad she got me that DVD for Christmas, he he he. Man, that show is pretty dang good. Now we just gotta ask Lou or Jevon to burn the 2nd season up to the current so we can finally watch Lost with them on Wednesdays, he he he. I can't wait to see the 2nd season!

I am another quick day at work...

Man, it's been quite busy at work lately...I haven't even had time to blog! How dare they give me so much work, ha ha ha. But yeah, it really has been busy lately. I'm trying to handle 3 different tasks, attend meetings, send reports, proposals, all that. It's starting to get a little overwhelming man...thank goodness it's friday though...now I just get to look forward to my 15 miler!!! EEEEYIIIKES!

Anyway, I've been wanting to post this pic up for a few days now...

This is the plane I flew back on from Tahoe! A Turbo-Prop! Man, I was freaked out...they had to move 3 people over to the opposite side of the plane...and it was loud...thank goodness it was only a 1 1/2 hour flight.

Anyway, that's all I have time to mention...hopefully I can get some spare time to write this weekend...I miss blogging...

I am an outdoor roller derby...

It's nice to have an extra day off...I was supposed to have today off because the original plan for the Tahoe trip was that I returned last night. And by how late Cic and all them did get in, it would have been a smart call that I had the next day off. But it was my godson Jalen's baptism this past Sunday and I flew back home in the wee hours. I would've ended up going to work today if I hadn't been so tired last night. I did my long distance runyesterday and I was extra tired. I was probably tired from the weekend too. So I took today off to recoup before my game tonight.

So I'm just chillin and takin care of some bills and trying to clean up and organize a bit. I haven't gone through my file records and updated in a while. I can now say that most of my stuff is up-to-date. I just have to go over the car maintenance records for all the cars and make sure they're all current and I think that's it. Then I can move onto my room...I started a little organizing last night, but only a little. I probably won't have much time to organize today before I head into LA either, but a little is better than none.

Tahoe was tons of fun, as as usual. The only drawback was that Saturday was the worst day to snowboard. Not only did we get started about 2 hours later than originally planned, but the snow and the wind was just too much. The top half of the mountain was closed down after about 1:30, and the visibility was just so bad...I ate it a few times unexpectedly and it hurt...so it kind of deterred us from continuing. We ended up leaving at about 2:30...how sad. Even sadder that the next day(I flew out at 6:00AM) was perfect for snowboarding, plus they ice skated. Oh well, gives me more reason to go up again...hopefully in better conditions. The baptism was great though, lil Jalen was crying here and there, but he loved being dipped totally naked in the baptismal font(which was a pretty new tradition to me, I've never seen that before, and I think my church just started doing it recently, because I've been there for baptisms before), which was pretty funny. We had lunch at Q&Q in Glendale...pretty good buffet.

I'm listening to songs while I'm organizing the lil home office and Paula Abdul came on right now, "Forever Your Girl." Weird that she was a singer/dancer way back then(she was even one of the Laker girls) and now she's a freaky lookin judge on American Idol. My how times have changed. I remember that the Paula Abdul album was one of the first cassette albums I ever got as a gift...man, that was almost 20 years ago...woah. Man, I'm gettin old.

Anyway, time to get ready for LA...

I am a few hours before the lights go out...

Sometimes, work really really sucks....it is 7:11 and I am STILL here...I got to work on time too...ARGH.

I know I know...no blogs lately...no time to update... :( I've had so much I want to write too...better update soon, or else they'll all fall out of my brain into the abyss....

I am the air taken out of the crowd...

First of all, Happy New Year everyone!!!! Welcome to the '06! I hope you all had a great and wonderful and safe NYE celebration, as I did...by ringing in the new year with good friends and the love of my life...smokin the hookah, watching movies, playing games, playing with tommy's toys and just being plain old stupid(he he he)...it was awesome.

How about that Vince Young? Sheesh. That was one of the best BCS bowl games I've seen in a while, and there were some good ones this past week. Of course there were a few controversial calls...majorly controversial, BUT the SC defense still let Vince Young walk all over them. Congrats to the Longhorns, maybe I can wear that sweater my friend got for me way back when, he he he.

I've been reading people do their "Year in review" entries...I would like to do that too, except my memory is a little shoddy and it would take me far too long to make it.

I'm still in a semi-work funk...not as bad as before since the holidays are over...but I still want to leave early and hang out and stuff. This weekend will be the first weekend for about 2 months that I will have nothing scheduled. Okay, I wanted to write more, but gotta go early...Kings game tonight! Woohoo!
