It's nice to have an extra day off...I was supposed to have today off because the original plan for the Tahoe trip was that I returned last night. And by how late Cic and all them
did get in, it would have been a smart call that I had the next day off. But it was my godson Jalen's baptism this past Sunday and I flew back home in the wee hours. I would've ended up going to work today if I hadn't been so tired last night. I did my long distance runyesterday and I was extra tired. I was probably tired from the weekend too. So I took today off to recoup before my game tonight.
So I'm just chillin and takin care of some bills and trying to clean up and organize a bit. I haven't gone through my file records and updated in a while. I can now say that most of my stuff is up-to-date. I just have to go over the car maintenance records for all the cars and make sure they're all current and I think that's it. Then I can move onto my room...I started a little organizing last night, but only a little. I probably won't have much time to organize today before I head into LA either, but a little is better than none.
Tahoe was tons of fun, as as usual. The only drawback was that Saturday was the worst day to snowboard. Not only did we get started about 2 hours later than originally planned, but the snow and the wind was just too much. The top half of the mountain was closed down after about 1:30, and the visibility was just so bad...I ate it a few times unexpectedly and it hurt...so it kind of deterred us from continuing. We ended up leaving at about 2:30...how sad. Even sadder that the next day(I flew out at 6:00AM) was perfect for snowboarding, plus they ice skated. Oh well, gives me more reason to go up again...hopefully in better conditions. The baptism was great though, lil Jalen was crying here and there, but he loved being dipped totally naked in the baptismal font(which was a pretty new tradition to me, I've never seen that before, and I think my church just started doing it recently, because I've been there for baptisms before), which was pretty funny. We had lunch at Q&Q in Glendale...pretty good buffet.
I'm listening to songs while I'm organizing the lil home office and Paula Abdul came on right now, "Forever Your Girl." Weird that she was a singer/dancer way back then(she was even one of the Laker girls) and now she's a freaky lookin judge on American Idol. My how times have changed. I remember that the Paula Abdul album was one of the first cassette albums I ever got as a gift...man, that was almost 20 years ago...woah. Man, I'm gettin old.
Anyway, time to get ready for LA...
